I like to get other perspectives as well. I am not sure if anyone else is familiar with NHL 2004 and modding, but I am digging deeper for more help because the people on the NHL 2004 forum are not responding to my post. I am also using the launcher that comes with the mods. I understand how to do a mod, but now something else is getting f'd up and none of the copies will work after modding one of them. It's when I start to copy and mod stuff that things go to h*** and it stops working altogether. When I do a fresh install of the base of NHL 2004 (before modding), it runs fine (just to make things clear). I just get the "NHL2004.exe stopped working" or whatever that error message is. My problem I am having is that whenever I copy the NHL 2004 folder in the root, add the mod files, and go to play the mod, that copy nor the original copy of NHL 2004 work. I copy my folder in the root (C:\NHL 2004). However, whenever I mod one, none of them work. *Note: I suggest always giving your team a slight 1 click adjustment to your side, just the players…not the goalies(in player/goalie boost settings ) as it seems to me to enhance the whole thing. My goal (no pun intended) is to mod my NHL 2004 game with other mods.

Use as a base and then fine tune to your personal tastes though I have been really digging these settings as is. I really do get a kick out of tweaking sports games but especially hockey games, it’s a sickness really, there are those out there who know what I mean and can literally spends countless of hours doing it.

Too bad there wasn’t two more settings, one for amount of defense pinch and another for cpu shot attempts, if I ever get hold of a working player editor I could try and globally set the leagues pass/shoot bias….oh well. I have been getting some good results with these, good scores/shots etc. Ok, here are my NHL 2004 PC settings on medium difficulty.
